Eric Omondi: I have never had sexual relations with any 'wife material' contestant

“Wife Material has an unsaid and unwritten rule: a woman cannot get intimate with Eric Omondi, because I can assure you that the show will end that very day,” he said in an interview on Radio Citizen's Mambo Mseto show Wednesday.

Defending his stand, the comedian argued that men and women were not created the same, adding that women are very sensitive and intuitive therefore if he pays special attention to any of the women, the others will be in the know, hence, ruin the show.

He defended himself claiming that any intimate moment seen on the show was initiated by the lady.

Speaking on how he came up with this controvertial show, the funny man said: “I opened a studio in Lavington and invited CEO and Founder of Bonfire Adventures, Simon Kabu as my keynote speaker and Ambassador Amina Chawahir Mohamed as my guest of honor,” he said.

During the event, Omondi says Simon Kabu commended him for his efforts but pointed out that he (Eric) was yet do with his life is get a wife.

"Simon Kabu then posted it on social media as a joke saying they’re looking for a wife on behalf of Eric. He subsequently received a number of aspirants and that is how the idea was birthed," Omondi explained.

Eric says his initial idea was for Kenyans to participate in his choice of wife after viewing available options.

“I can trust many people’s opinion as opposed to mine alone. I am the president of comedy, the first lady has be chosen by the people. I want to stand out and my marriage to go down history.”
