Comedian Eric Omondi on Thursday fueled 250 motorbikes for riders in Lang’ata, Nairobi just days after securing the release of a saleswoman jailed for shouting in the Nairobi CBD.

Omondi, who has been publicly staging protests over the high cost of living, shared a video of himself on Instagram at a petrol station surrounded by boda boda operators who cheered as their motorbikes were being fuelled.

The funnyman reiterated that a majority of Kenyans and especially boda boda riders are struggling to erk a living from their day-to-day sources of livelihood.

"Issue kubwa sanaa hapa Kenya ni mafuta na unga. Watu wanaumia sana. Families are going without food. A bigger percentage of these people ni watu wa nduthi. We are calling upon the government to reduce fuel prices whatever it takes. Sisi tutaendelea ku share the little we have with fellow Kenyans. Leo tumewekea 250 nduthi guys petroli. I hope itawaskuma kidogo, ”Eric said.

Omondi said he would continue sharing the little he has with Kenyans.

A few weeks ago he organized demonstrations where he led a group of youth to camp outside parliament buildings. He was later arrested and charged with public disturbance.
