Drake's team refutes Sweden arrest rumors

Canadian rapper Drake has not
been arrested in Sweden, his team told several US media outlets, dispelling
widespread Twitter speculation that eventually spread across the internet.
Internet speculation suggested
Drake had been arrested by local police at a Stockholm nightclub after being
busted for possession of marijuana.
Hours after the fake news went
viral, his team categorically told several media outlets that the braided
Grammy winner was in his hotel in the Swedish capital and had, infact, not been
arrested.
As documented in a series of
Instagram posts seen by Citizen Digital, the ‘Take Care’ rapper landed at
Sweden’s Arlanda airport on Wednesday, flying via his personal baby blue Boeing
767 christened ‘Air Drake.’
Since touching down in the
Swedish capital, local media reports say the rapper visited the
trendy Östermalm district of Stockholm and later hit up the swanky
Ciccio’s restaurant.
Last month, Drake released his
house-inspired seventh studio album ‘Honestly, Nevermind,’ which debuted
at the top of the Billboard 200 and spawned a couple meme-worthy hits that lit
up TikTok.
On Wednesday, Drake revealed
details of a music festival in his hometown Toronto slated for later this
month.
Dubbed 'October World Weekend',
the concert is set to take place July 28 - August 1 with a star-studded lineup
that will include a much-hyped about Young Money (Lil Wayne and Nicki Minaj) reunion
as well as appearances from Atlanta rapper Lil Baby and singer Chris Brown.
