DJ Bonez: Everything we know about Kamene Goro's husband

Former radio presenter Kamene Goro on Thursday caused a buzz online after it emerged that she had gotten married to a man known as DJ Bonez in a very low-key ceremony.

The lovebirds exchanged vows in a glamorous yet decent ceremony attended by only a few friends and family, among them Kamene’s former radio co-hosts Obinna and Jalang’o, who is now also the Lang’ata Member of Parliament.

Amidst all the congratulatory messages, however, a section of Kenyans were still left wondering; just who is this character that swept the feet off one of the most outspoken women in showbiz?

DJ Bonez, or ’The Pyper’ as he is also known, is a six-foot tall spinmaster who was born David Kamau over three decades ago.

His journey in the music industry has grown in leaps and bounds since he began pursuing the craft over a decade ago, and is presently a highly sought after deejay who has performed at almost all top Kenyan events.

He is also listed as a co-director at a deejaying and events outfit named Spincycle Entertainment Limited which, according to its website, he co-founded alongside DJ Kaytrixx and DJ Hypnotiq – both of whom also attended his highly private wedding.

DJ Bonez, during a past interview with a local radio station, came out to rubbish allegations that he was previously married and left his then wife for Kamene.

He clarified that he indeed had children outside of his relationship with Kamene, but that he has never been in a marriage setting before.

The spinmaster reportedly began dating Kamene in 2021, and proposed to her during a weekend trip to Diani in September last year and she said ‘Yes.’
