Director Phil denies forcibly repossessing Kate Actress' BMW X3 and selling it

The narrative began after Phil, while at a public event, revealed to several YouTubers that he had sold off the BMX X3 due to high maintenance costs.

"I love cars a lot, and so I was young and foolish, and I spent so much on my car, and it has been a very expensive journey to maintain. I am like, that is a car I would have used wisely somewhere. I sold it. I have decided to go back on Uber," he told Nairobi News.

But in a brief statement released on Instagram, Phil acknowledged that the German machine was actually sold but stressed that it was done with the mutual consent of his ex-wife, Kate Actress.

"I acknowledge that blogs are to be sold, and you had your fun. I wish to officially document that the vehicle was sold with mutual consent, and there are no disputes with Kate, contrary to any portrayals suggesting otherwise," Phil said.

Reacting to Phil's statement, Kate scoffed at those insinuating that Phil had repossessed her swanky machine and sold it after their separation.

"Najua udaku hukuwa tamu, however wacheni fake stories," she wrote, while resharing her ex-hubby's note.

Phil famously gifted his ex-wife the Ksh3.5 million BMW X3 in January 2020 for her birthday, a month after the birth of their daughter. According to internet parlance, it was dubbed a 'push gift' - a specialised gift given to women by their husbands/partners after giving birth.

After a mostly-blissful five-year marriage, the couple jointly announced the end of their union in a statement issued on September 19, 2023.

“We came to a conclusion to end our marriage a long while ago and are separated. We sincerely request everyone to honour our wishes for privacy for us and our children,” the two stated.

The widely-adored twosome got married in a beautiful ceremony at Windsor Golf Hotel and Country Club on November 18, 2017.
