Burna Boy set to thrill Kenyan fans in 2025 concert return
The 33-year-old Grammy-winning Nigerian superstar—real name Damini Ebunoluwa Ogulu—broke the news to his fans via Instagram.
In true Burna style, he kept it simple yet impactful, posting a picture with the caption “March 1st 2025” alongside the Kenyan flag.
That one post was all it took to send his Kenyan fanbase into a frenzy!
Social media lit up with excitement as fans shared their anticipation for his long-awaited return.
However, some couldn't help but throw playful shade, referencing his last Kenyan performance in 2019 at the NRGWave Festival.
Back then, Burna left many fans disappointed after hitting the stage in the wee hours of the morning. One cheeky commenter wrote:
“We nimkora tutalipa ukishaanza kuimba.” ( “You’re a trickster; we’ll pay once you start singing.”)
Despite mixed reactions, the excitement surrounding his upcoming concert is undeniable.
Burna Boy's star power has only grown since his debut album L.I.F.E., which featured the hit single "Like to Party" in 2012.
He is now a global sensation with numerous accolades, including two BET Awards for Best International Act (2019, 2021) and African Artist of the Year at the 2020 Ghana Music Awards.
Not to mention, Rolling Stone recently ranked him #197 on their list of the 200 greatest singers of all time, cementing his status as one of the world's best voices.
