Nairobi residents and motorists have been advised to expect significant traffic disruptions and road closures on Saturday, March 1st, as the city hosts the highly anticipated MadfunXperience event at Uhuru Gardens, off Lang'ata Road.

The event, which is expected to draw large crowds, will have an impact on several key roads, including Lang'ata Road, Likoni Road, and the link from the Southern Bypass to Likoni Road via the Carnivore grounds.

Traffic congestion is expected to occur primarily at the beginning and end of the event, as attendees arrive and depart.

To minimize inconvenience, authorities are urging motorists to plan their journeys accordingly and consider alternative routes where possible.

Gates for the MadfunXperience will open at 3:00 PM and close at 9:00 PM sharp. No entry will be permitted after 9:00 PM, so attendees are encouraged to arrive early to avoid disappointment. Organizers have also emphasized the importance of checking ticket types to ensure entry through the correct gates.

Due to limited parking availability at the Ulinzi Sports Complex, regular ticket holders are strongly encouraged to use public transportation options such as Uber, matatus, or motorbikes (boda bodas).

This will help reduce congestion and ensure smoother traffic flow in the area.

Attendees are advised to stay updated on real-time traffic information through Madfun’s official communication channels.

Additionally, all attendees are urged to adhere to signage and follow instructions from traffic authorities and event organizers to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for everyone.

For those planning to attend the event, early preparation and cooperation with traffic directives will be key to navigating the day smoothly.

Meanwhile, non-attendees are advised to avoid the affected roads during peak hours to minimize delays.
