Anita Nderu shares the highs and lows of her pregnancy journey
Media Personality Anita Nderu has shared details of her pregnancy journey that has been both interesting and scary.
In her YouTube, Anita
detailed how she was in fear after realizing she was pregnant and the uncertainties
that came with it.
“I had never pictured
myself down that journey, I din’t really know of many happy stories, it always
felt very dooms day –ish. I will not lie to you that when I found out I was
over the moon, screaming on the mountain top, I was scared,” Anita shared.
The mum-to-be added
that she was a novice in the dos and don’ts of taking pregnancy supplements.
She was not used to
eating in the morning, and taking the supplements on an empty stomach had side
effects.
“I would immediately get nauseous, I threw up three times….feeling hot…feeling cold.”
However, Anita’s mum
did not want her to publicise the pregnancy news, but her doctor advised her to share with close people.
“That is when now the
excitement kicked in. My mum was like ‘don’t tell anyone you are pregnant until
you give birth. Her reasoning was that if you don’t tell anyone….heaven forbid
anything goes wrong, who then will be your support system?” she posed.
The ‘Overdressed cook’
adds that the pregnancy made her hate potatoes, which had for long been her
favourite meal.
An exited Anita has
been on a shopping spree, importing products for her unborn baby.
The products she has
gotten are feeding bottles, wet wipe warmer, diaper bin, butt cream, baby nail
file kit, bassinet, lampstand, wash station and many more.
