American R&B star Kelis is in Kenya, films herself struggling with Nairobi traffic

The 'Milkshake' hitmaker shared a playful video of herself trying to cross the busy Kenyatta Avenue in Nairobi's CBD, as she struggled with oncoming traffic, impatient drivers and a generally lawless traffic situation.

While appearing to make fun of the notorious city chaos, Kelis laughs off the situation, saying, "Pedestrians you don't have the right of way here. Look both ways! And move fast! Be aggressive...."

While carrying two local shopping bags, Kelis then takes a couple minutes to mentally prepare herself to quickly cross the busy road as her friend waits for her on the other side, egging her on.

Popular city PSV buses City Hoppa and Supermetro can be seen in the background as she daintily attempts to negotiate her way around. 

The singer has been on a tour of Africa and just a day ago, shared yet another video of her doing grocery shopping at a market in Zanzibar.

However, the singer seems to have her TikTok geography all muddled up as she repeatedly used the hashtags #zambia on a video which clearly indicated she was in Zanzibar.

Besides being a singer, Kelis is also a farmer, a chef and a beautypreneur who has been busy promoting her line of skin care products, Bounty and Full. 

The “Bossy” singer shares son Knight, 14, with ex-husband rapper Nas. She also welcomed son Shepherd, 7, and daughter Galilee, 3, with late husband Mike Mora, who died in 2022.
