American Preacher T.D Jakes speaks on rumoured links to Diddy's parties
Addressing his congregants over the weekend, an emotional Jakes said he will not use the pulpit to defend a lie, instead adamantly saying he will use the pulpit to preach the truth.
The preacher also said he is not trying to convince people to believe him, but maintained that he will speak about the truth, which is his calling.
"“Some of you come in to hear what I’m going to say. All of you who expect me to address a lie, you can log off. I will not use this sacred day and this sacred pulpit to address a lie when I have a chance to preach a truth. I will stand straight up, head up, back straight and preach the unadulterated, infallible word of God,” a defiant Jakes said while breaking down.
Jakes said it is time people ignore the rumours and 'save their energy'.
His response comes days after he trended on social media platforms following unsubstantiated claims that he was a regular at Diddy's sex orgies.
The rumours were so widespread that his communication team came out to dismiss them, saying they were "unequivocally false and baseless."
