After one year, Rihanna's baby's unique name has been made public

After waiting for over a year, The Navy, the colloquial name for Rihanna's fans, has now learned the unique name of Rihanna's first born son.

According to The Daily Mail, the "We Found Love" singer and rap partner A$AP Rocky reportedly named their first child - who the couple welcomed on May 13, 2022 - RZA Athelston Mayers.

This was revealed after the UK publication obtained a copy of the official certificate of live birth for Rihanna's first born.

A copy of the little boy's birth certificate has revealed he is named RZA Athelston Mayers, apparently in honour of legendary producer and rapper and also a founding member of rap group Wu-Tang Clan, RZA.

Rihanna has repeatedly been seen sporting Wu-Tang Clan t-shirts, and RZA merchandise, since giving birth.

Rihanna's baby seems to have the same middle name as his superstar father A$AP Rocky, whose real name is Rakim Athelston Mayers.

Additionally, the birth certificate shows that RZA was born at Cedars-Sinai Medical Centre in Los Angeles.

Soon after his birth, Rihanna became very protective over her son and recently opened up about how she tried to keep him out of the spotlight.

"I just went straight into protective mode. Like there wasn’t even time for rage. As parents it just feels so icky, like a violation," she told British Vogue.

During that moment, the Bajan singer and partner Rocky came together to discuss how they wanted to handle photos of their son potentially being leaked to the press - she recalled: “As we were speaking, we knew they were making calls and deals.”

The Fenty Beauty honcho is currently pregnant with the couple's second child - which she revealed during her much-fabled Super Bowl halftime show in February.

Speaking at the recently-concluded MET Gala, where she stole the show in a white, rose-flower embellished ensemble, Rihanna dished about her pregnancy and her overall feelings of motherhood.

"It's so different from the first one," shared Rihanna. "No cravings. Tons of nausea. Everything's different, but I'm enjoying it."
