The event that will be held on Sunday is in line with Mother’s Day celebrations and aims to create create a platform that not only celebrates achievement but also uplifts the stories of resilience, leadership, and love that mothers bring into the world every single day.
Wema has been nominated under the category Super Influencer East Africa, where she is competing with Uganda’s Zari Hassan, Tanzania’s Hamisa Mobeto and Kenya’s Sarah Hassan.
The actress, who terms Kenya her second home expressed gratitude from the support she has gotten over the years.
The Miss Tanzania 2006 said she will be visiting Kenya frequently as she seeks to interact with fans more.
Led by Esther Wairimu, the Thamani Awards secretariat says the fete recognizes mothers across 25 categories, from “Best Media Personality” to “Super Mum 2025,” a special award for mothers of children with special needs.
A final gala on Mother’s Day Eve, promises live performances, powerful stories, and emotional tributes, offering a national spotlight to mothers whose influence rarely makes the news but always shapes the nation.
