5 hours of pain, agony for cheating Keroka couple

A youthful couple, a lodging, illicit sex, and screams of pain occasioned by stuck genitalia are all it took to catch a cheating pair of lovers in Keroka Township in Masaba North, Nyamira County.

The adulterous pair is made up of a 34-year-old man, who works as a boda boda operator in Keroka and a 25-year-old businesswoman who plies her trade in the same town.

Both the man and woman are married, and have children with their respective spouses. The man has three children while his lover is a mother of two.

The lovers’ harrowing day began Sunday morning when the boda boda operator went and picked the woman from her home in Ibacho, and rode with her to Keroka Market, where they booked a lodging facility.

“She wanted to quench her sexual thirst early before opening her business in Keroka Town at 9am,” said a source, who was privy to the Sunday happenings.

After engaging in throes of passion, the lovers realised that their private parts had clamped, and their attempts to “unlock” proved hard and painful. That was 8am on Sunday.

They squirmed, moved, shifted and twisted on bed. Their efforts still bore no fruits.

At around 1pm – after 5 hours since their ‘clamping’ –, they decided to seek external help by raising the alarm.

In a panicky mode, the lovers screamed at the top of their voices, attracting the attention of the lodging attendants and other customers, who broke into the room and found the two writhing from pain.

Police officers from Keroka post were called to the scene and wrapped the stuck couple in bed sheets and carried them to a witchdoctor’s den in Ibacho, where they were set free from each other.

The couple was later driven to Keroka police post. What followed thereafter remains unclear.

Dr John Dean, a senior UK-based sexual physician, told the BBC that humans physically sticking during sex is rare phenomenon that doctors sometimes call “penis captivus” (captive penis).

“When the penis is in the vagina it becomes increasingly engorged,” said Dr Dean, giving his hypothesis of what causes the problem.

“The muscles of the woman’s pelvic floor contract rhythmically at orgasm. While those muscles contract the penis becomes stuck and further engorged.”

Finally the vaginal muscles relax, the blood flows out of the penis and the man can withdraw.

In a separate but similar incident witnessed in May last year, drama ensued at an entertainment joint in Kericho after a couple got stuck during sex.

According to one of the witnesses, a long distance truck driver and his lover, a businesswoman in Kericho town, checked into an entertainment joint on Wednesday 31, where they took alcohol before booking themselves into a lodging facility for sex.

The truck driver, reportedly, was in transit to Uganda, when he stopped his truck on the Kericho-Kisumu highway to catch up with his Kericho-based lover.

The man, would during sex, get physically stuck inside his lover, prompting him to scream out for help after unsuccessfully trying to extricate.

The entertainment joint workers and revelers rushed to the room, where the two were booked into, and were shocked to find the pair had entangled during sex.

“They were helpless and writhing in pain,” said one of the witnesses.

The entertainment joint staff and revelers wrapped the couple in a blanket and took them to a lower floor of the storey building.

Tens of curious onlookers milled around the entertainment joint to catch a glimpse of the stuck couple.

The entertainment joint staff carried the couple, who were still wrapped in a blanket, to a waiting car, Toyota Probox model, and drove them to Kericho Police Station.

Police officers, however, turned the car driver and the stuck couple away, saying they had no expertise to disentangle the lovebirds.

The stuck couple was, thereafter, rushed to a nearby homestead of one of the witchdoctors in the outskirts of Kerricho town for assistance.

The couple was disentangled and the truck driver continued with his journey to Uganda as the Kericho businesswoman went into hiding to evade ridicule.

A similar incident also happened in November, 2016 in Kisii County, when authorities had to be called in to restore order at Daraja Mbili Market after a crowd gathered to see a cheating wife and her lover locked together during sex after the rumour spread that her husband had asked a witch doctor to put a curse on her private parts.

Although medical experts say the embarrassing experience could have been a case of ‘penis captivus’, in which the woman’s vagina had contracted too much and trapped the man’s penis, the crowd was unable to stop the rumour and the mob had quickly assembled.

Reports claimed that the unfaithful middle-aged woman had been romping with her lover at West Gauge lodging near Daraja Mbili Market while her husband was away on business.

But the passion soon became embarrassment and pain when the amorous couple realised they were unable to pull away from one another.

The shocked pair began calling for help, which soon turned into screams as they became more desperate to unlock.

The woman’s husband had reportedly sought services of a local witchdoctor after suspecting that his wife was engaging in clandestine activities.

Fully wrapped in a blanket, the stuck pair was carried by Good Samaritans through Daraja Mbili Market to a nearby witchdoctor who conducted rituals to unlock them.

The local magic specialist namely Annette Mutheu said she’d camped in Kisii town to bring an end to infidelity in marriages.

And again wrapped in the same blanket, the couple was taken away to an unknown destination by Good Samaritans, who wanted to protect their dignity.
