Elvis Mushila: I studied nursing ‘for my parents’, but my heart is in content creation
His discolored jacket, once his father’s, and a faded gown, previously his mother’s, complete his unique look.
But Mushila is more than just a man dressed strangely—he is a professional prankster who specializes in giving people the scare of their lives, often leaving them running in terror.
Mushila, 22, is one of many content creators working tirelessly to meet the growing demand for hilarious prank videos online.
Since 2020, he has turned his love for pranks into a lucrative career, earning a living by making people laugh—or scream.
“I love chasing people around for fun. It’s incredibly fulfilling to entertain others through my passion as a content creator,” Mushila told Citizen Digital. Despite studying nursing, his heart has always been in content creation, particularly in the art of surprising and amusing people on the streets.
While many people find his videos amusing, others think they are occasionally harsh.
Mushila, however, is careful about the boundaries he sets. He avoids pranking the elderly and children, acknowledging the fine line between “good” and “bad” pranks. “I don’t like to provoke people. I always act with moderation to ensure no one gets hurt,” he explained. If someone does feel offended or upset, Mushila takes the time to apologize and make amends.
For Mushila, pranking is about spreading joy. “It’s harmless fun meant to put a smile on people’s faces,” he said. His efforts have not gone unnoticed—he sometimes receives monetary gifts from supporters who appreciate his work. “I love what I do, and I have a lot of followers who expect me to deliver great content,” he added.
Despite his success, Mushila advises aspiring content creators to focus on passion rather than profit. “Don’t get into content creation just to chase money. Do it because you love it,” he cautioned.
As for whether pranking pays off, Mushila’s answer is a resounding yes. To see his antics in action, check out the full video on Citizen Digital.
