Vivo Energy Kenya, the exclusive licensee of Shell-branded fuels and lubricants in the country, successfully hosted the Vivo Energy Agriculture Conference 2025 on Wednesday at a Nakuru hotel.

The conference brought together over 100 stakeholders, including farmers, agribusiness leaders, processors, regulators, and original equipment manufacturers (OEMs), under the theme: “Smarter Farming, Stronger Future – Powering Profitable and Sustainable Agriculture.”

With agriculture remaining the backbone of Kenya’s economy, Vivo Energy Kenya reaffirmed its commitment to powering growth within the sector by showcasing cutting-edge Customer Value Propositions (CVPs) aligned to the needs of modern agribusinesses.

Speaking during the event, representatives from Vivo Energy highlighted the recent launch of the new Shell fuel formulation, which delivers an additional 15 kilometres per full tank, making it an ideal solution for farmers and transporters who need to reduce operational costs without compromising efficiency.

“We are committed to walking the journey with our farmers and agri-processors — ensuring they have access to world-class fuels, lubricants, and partnerships that deliver real value,” said Mark Senteu, Commercial Manager, Vivo Energy Kenya.

In addition, sessions focused on the role of Shell Lubricants in lowering the total cost of ownership by extending machinery lifespan, enhancing fuel efficiency, minimising downtime through superior equipment protection and diverse voices - practical dialogue.

The conference featured a strong lineup of technical and policy experts, including OEM suppliers who showcased modern agricultural equipment, reinforcing the message that mechanisation, paired with the right fuel and lubricant solutions, is key to unlocking higher productivity on Kenyan farms.

Attendees had the opportunity to visit partner booths, including Cons-Syn Lubricants Ltd, a supplier of food-grade lubricants critical for post-harvest and processing operations. These technical interactions empowered delegates with practical knowledge of compliance, hygiene, and performance standards required in the food value chain.

The day-long engagement concluded with actionable takeaways around operational efficiency, cost-saving innovations, and sustainable technologies.
