Real estate firm Finsco Africa recently embarked on touring different U.S cities to engage Kenyans in the diaspora on sustainable and accountable real estate solutions.

The firm aims to popularize sustainable and accountable real estate housing and land solutions and investments.

Finsco Africa CEO John Mwaura, who jetted back to the country on Sunday, said the trip reaffirmed their commitment to scaling up and complementing the government’s efforts on the housing agenda.

This, he added, will progressively transform people’s lives and especially the diaspora community whose remittance to Kenya presently stands at Ksh.185 billion, according to the latest data from the Central bank of Kenya.

“I held consultative meetings with our Finsco Africa team and key existing and prospective clients in Washington, Seattle on how to ensure they invest wisely in a manner that safeguards their interests as well as ensures they build a legacy back home,” he said.

“We also met with potential partners in New Jersey, where Finsco Africa is offering a very special model of housing with Escrow Account management by financial institutions called the Home Direct Product.”

The US tour also saw Finsco climax at Baltimore where they united with Kenyans in this year’s celebration at Gunpowder Park for a family event where they addressed trust and integrity concerns of Kenyans in the diaspora with the real estate industry in Kenya.

They further toured Kansas City and Virginia where many partners and stakeholders expressed interest in partnering with new building technology methodologies that have improved effectiveness of housing construction and development.

This, according to Mr. Mwaura, will enhance competitiveness and challenge local contractors as well as offer Kenyans better options of housing units that save on both time and resources hence having a higher return on investments for their housing solutions.

The Finsco team previously staged a launch of their new project dubbed the Thika Grove Chania, hosting close to 1,000 investors from Nairobi, Kiambu and Murang’a counties to participate and invest in land and housing options at subsidized prices at the market value.
