NHC boss David Mathu named young African business leader of the year
National Housing Corporation (NHC) CEO David Mathu has won
the Young African Business Leader of the Year Award in the 14th edition of the
African Business Leadership Awards (ABLA).
ABLA said that under Mr. Mathu’s leadership, NHC has
undergone remarkable organizational growth, with expanded project portfolios
and enhanced operational capabilities.
It commended the 38-year-old for showing dynamism by
garnering strategic partnerships with both local and international stakeholders
who have significantly bolstered the corporation's capacity to fulfil its
mission.
“Mr. Mathu’s emergence as co-winner of the Young African
Business Leader of the Year Award underscores his exceptional contributions to
the industry and serves as a testament to his enduring impact on the
socio-economic development of Kenya,” Ehis Ayere, Group General Manager African
Leadership Organisation (UK), said.
The Young African Business Leader of the Year Award
celebrates exceptional individuals under the age of 40 who embody
transformative leadership and serve as inspirational figures in the
marketplace.

Leadership have included Rebecca Miano, former Kenyan Cabinet Secretary for Investments,
Trade and Industry; Sam Mantekane, Prime Minister of Lesotho; Jonathan F.
Koffa, Speaker of the House of Representatives, Liberia; Ahmed Shide, Minister
of Finance, Ethiopia; Renganaden Padayachy, Minister of Finance, Economic
Planning, and Development, Mauritius; and Rindra Hasimbelo Rabarinirinarison,
Minister for Economy and Finance, Madagascar.
