Kwale hotelier feted as a national hero
Hotel entrepreneur
Bobby Kamani is among the 157 national heroes recognized by government this
year.

Reef Beach Resort and Spa was feted for his role in enterprise and industry.
The recognition also cited his philanthropy in Kwale County where the beach
hotel is located.
“I wouldn’t
consider myself a hero, but it’s great to be recognized and appreciated for the
contributions that have been made towards the betterment of this nation. I
would like to thank President William Ruto and the National Heroes Council for
having the faith in me and for honoring me with such a prestigious accolade”
said Mr. Kamani on the recognition.
The 157 recipients
the National Heroes Council were recognized for their contribution in the post
independent Kenya.
In Kwale, Mr.
Kamani has been pivotal in supporting families affected by drought. This he
does through his family foundation that so far has supported over 2,000
families.
Apart from the
hotel industry, Mr. Kamani’s other interests are in the horticulture industry
through Primarosa Flowers a subsidiary of Zuri Group Global which he manages.
