Kenya Investment Authority partners with KEPSA to boost economic growth

The Kenya Investment Authority (KenInvest) and the Kenya Private Sector Alliance (KEPSA) have announced a strategic partnership to enhance Kenya's business environment.

This collaboration aims to streamline investment processes, advocate for business-friendly policies, and position Kenya as a premier investment destination by leveraging key government agencies and private sector stakeholders.

Recognizing the private sector's critical role in driving economic growth and job creation, this initiative seeks to strengthen public-private partnerships and foster a mutually beneficial approach to sustainable development.

Speaking at the partnership announcement, John Mwendwa, CEO of KenInvest, stated, "This partnership marks a significant step towards creating a more competitive and attractive investment destination in Kenya."

He added: "By working closely with KEPSA and other key stakeholders, we are confident that we can unlock the full potential of the private sector and drive sustainable economic development."

Echoing these sentiments, KEPSA CEO Caroline Kariuki emphasized the importance of collaboration, saying, the partnership highlights the power of working together to unlock the private sector's potential to drive Kenya's economic growth.

"At KEPSA, we remain dedicated to fostering such partnerships to create a competitive business environment and position Kenya as a leading destination for sustainable investment," the KEPSA CEO added.

The meeting was attended by prominent stakeholders, including Brenda Mbathi, Vice Chairperson of KEPSA and CEO of Two Rivers International Finance and Innovation Centre (TRIFIC), James Mureu, Chair of the Economic Diplomacy Sector Board, and senior management from the Kenya Investment Authority.
