748 Air commences Kisumu flights
Aviation company, 748 Air Services has increased its service offering by launching two daily flights between Nairobi and Kisumu.
The airlines chairman Ahmed Jibril stated that they are targeting tourism and business travelers as the country slowly returns to normalcy after the recent restrictions in movements to contain the COVID 19 pandemic.
The airline will be flying from Kisumu International Airport in the morning at 7.30 and evening at 4.30 from Nairobi’s JKIA, using its newly acquired aircraft, that carries 78 passengers.
“We strongly believe, the new route will boost domestic tourism, spur investments and industrialization as well as catalyze employment creation, reduce poverty rates and lead to sustainable livelihoods in Kisumu County and the larger lake region,” said Mr. Jibril.
The Nairobi-Kisumu route is among three others, the airline will be launching in the coming months to enable it play an integral role in supporting economic recovery during and post-COVID-19 pandemic by boosting business and leisure tourism.
This is 748 Air Services second domestic route after opening of Maasai Mara route in the last quarter of 2020.
The airline said it is revolutionizing service offering in the new routes by ensuring efficiency and passenger safety as part of its bigger commitment to delivering better flight experience to clients.
“These are our core strengths. There will be no flight cancellations and delays,” added Mr. Jibril.
