Traders at Keumbu Market in Kisii County have raised concerns about the growing piles of garbage in the area.
Speaking to Citizen Digital, they expressed frustration over the town's deteriorating condition, with heaps of waste everywhere.
The traders, along with local residents, noted that pollution has worsened, especially with the ongoing heavy rains.
They highlighted that the waste accumulation along the roadside is narrowing the Kisii-Keroka road, creating a risk to road users.
The traders have called for support, warning that the situation could endanger pedestrians and other traders selling along the road.
