Taita: House collapses killing three family members in their sleep

Three family members have died after their houses collapsed on them on Wednesday night in Kighombo area of Mwatate,  Taita Taveta.

According to reports from the police, a man, his wife and their three-year-old daughter were asleep during the incident.

The Red Cross, police and members of the public have joined efforts of recovering the bodies of the three.

The area County Commissioner Rhoda Onyancha urged people who live in risk-prone areas to be on the lookout and confirmed that the house which collapsed had been weakened by the heavy rains.
