Power blackout to be experienced in parts of Nairobi, 7 other counties on Tuesday

Dwellers of several estates
in Nairobi, Machakos, Uasin Gishu and five other counties have been notified of
an impending power blackout on Tuesday due to scheduled maintenance by Kenya
Power.
The power supplier, in a
notice on Monday evening, said the outage will be experienced from 9 a.m. to
5 p.m..
In Nairobi, this will affect parts of Umoja Innercore, Eastleigh
1st Avenue, Loresho, Mamlaka Road, Mukoma Road, Langata and Nairobi West areas.
At the same time, Kenya Power said Machakos residents
living in parts of Mua Road will not have power during the same period.
In West Pokot County, the blackout will affect residents of Ortum area, as well as those in Uasin Gishu’s Kapkoi and Tugen areas.
Kiambu County residents living in Kihara, Gachie, Membley and Kiwanja will go without power during the eight-hour blackout, while for Kwale County, the outage will be experienced in parts of Kwale and Mtwapa.
