The National Police Service (NPS) has arrested four additional suspects in connection with the violent attacks at Keumbu along the Kisii-Keroka road, bringing the total number of arrests to seven.

The operation was led by the OCS Keumbu and DCI Kisii Central, as investigations into the Friday, July 3 attack continue.

In a fresh development, Nyaribari Chache MP Zaheer Jhanda has been summoned to appear before the Kisii County DCI office in connection with the investigations.

The NPS said investigations remain ongoing as detectives pursue further leads to establish the full circumstances surrounding the incident and identify any other individuals who may have been involved.

The Service reiterated its commitment to protecting lives and property, warning that it will take decisive action against anyone who threatens public safety or disrupts public order.
