Husband suffers serious burns after wife allegedly splashes hot porridge on him

According to residents, the wife splashed hot porridge onto her husband - in a gruelling attack that has left the village in shop.

Some of the witnesses said that the couple had an argument after the wife demanded to know where money from their cotton sale had gone to.

The wife is said to have accused her husband of misusing the money yet they had both broken their backs to make every dime of it.

"The woman was unhappy with the husband whom she accused of spending their hard earned money all alone," a source told Citizen Reporter.

The man who was rushed to hospital for specialised treatment - he however - declined to disclose what exactly had transpired between him and his wife claiming that he was living in fear.

"I am not ready for war with anyone. I'm still recuperating, I don't want much exposure now I'll seek for justice when I'll have recovered well", he told the media from the hospital.

The man suffered serious burns to his face, head, neck and the back. The wife declined to speak on the matter - and is yet to be arrested.

The husband told the media that he would take action once he has recovered and is out of the hospital.
