Starehe Boys seeks Ksh.600M as it marks 60 years

Starehe Boys Centre has announced a Ksh.600 million funds drive meant to help the institution educate needy bright students.

This was announced on Friday, a day before the institution celebrates 60 years since its establishment scheduled for Saturday, July 27, 2019 which also doubles up as Founder’s Day.

“The school Board of Management will announce Ksh.600 million funds drive to help needy children from disadvantaged background access education at Starehe Boys,” read a statement from the institution.

“The school will also commemorate 60 years since its establishment in July 1959. The event is expected to attract various guests from all walks of life who in one way or the other have had an association with Starehe over these years.

Some of the guests expected for the celebrations are former President Mwai Kibaki, Cabinet Secretary for Education Professor George Magoha, Industrialist Manu Chandaria and Denmark Ambassador to Kenya Mette Knudsen.
