Standard Investment Bank's MansaX nets 15.5pc returns in 2021
Standard Investment Bank (SIB) multi-asset strategy fund MansaX has posted a return of 15.45 per cent across the past 12 months to December 31, 2021.
Returns from the fund which seeks to optimise returns to clients against market volatility are however on the decline year over year having come in at a higher 18.75 and 19.01 per cent in 2020 and 2019 respectively.
Gross returns across the three-year period have also declined from 24.01 per cent in 2019 to 20.45 per cent in 2021.
The fund meanwhile has Ksh.6.6 billion in assets under management (AUM).
The fund’s top 10 holdings as of December 2021 are Treasury bonds, Forex derivatives, Safaricom, Microsoft, Nvidia, Toyota, Morgan Stanley, Alphabet, Gold and cash holdings.
The fund requires minimum investments at Ksh.250,000 and a minimum top up of Ksh.100,000.
Despite the slide in returns, the fund continues to deliver above market average returns.
A Ksh.1 million investment in the fund between January 15, 2019 and December 31 last year would for instance presently stand at Ksh.1.677 million after fees.
