Machakos: Man believed to have stabbed wife to death presents himself to police

  • 28-year-old Andrew Mutiso Musau showed up at Athi River Police Station on Sunday, flanked by two brothers.
  • It is believed that Musau killed his wife by stabbing her six times after he allegedly found her with another man in their house on Thursday night. 

A man whom police believe stabbed his wife to death has surrendered himself to detectives in Athi River, Machakos County. 

According to a report by the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI), 28-year-old Andrew Mutiso Musau showed up at Athi River Police Station on Sunday, flanked by two brothers. 

It is believed that Musau killed his wife by stabbing her six times after he allegedly found her with another man in their house on Thursday night. 

The directorate further says Musau has been missing since October 21. 

The wife's dead body was found in their house by concerned Nyumba Kumi members two days after she went missing and alerted the police. 

Detectives have since taken the body to a local hospital mortuary for autopsy, while Musau is being held by police awaiting arraignment over murder charges on Monday.
