Narok: 2 suspects arrested with 313 kilos of bhang worth over Ksh.9M

  • Police Commander Narok Kizito Mutoro said police officers arrested the two, aged 63 and 28, in the Lolgorian area as they ferried the drugs from the Isbania to Nairobi in a Prado truck.

Two men have been detained at the Lolgorian police station in Trans Mara sub-county, south of Narok, after they were discovered with 313 kilograms of bhang worth more than 9 million shillings packaged inside 90 kg bags.

Police Commander Narok Kizito Mutoro said police officers arrested the two, aged 63 and 28, in the Lolgorian area as they ferried the drugs from the Isbania to Nairobi in a  truck.

According to Kizito, the public alerted them to the two suspects, and they began tracking them down.

Kizito went on to say that after the driver refused to stop at a barrier, one officer was forced to open fire with the intent of hitting the car tires.

The suspects are now expected to appear in court later on.
