KMA Laments Over Poor Medical Services

The Kenya Medical Association chairman Dr Elly Nyamai has urged national and county governments to work together and resolve the row over payment of trainee doctors

 

The body claims that the trainee doctors have not been paid for the last 6 months

 

Dr. Nyamai says that the health sector is ailing as most health facilities lack modern equipment and medicines to offer quality services

 

Speaking during the same media briefing, KMA Secretary General Dr Lukoye Atwoli stressed the need for a health committee that will address all issues affecting the health sector.

 

Thy spoke today even as the health sector continued to face a crisis over the issue of salaries and allowances for staff

 

Several hospitals are still not operating as a result of strike.
