IPOA launches probe on alleged involvement of police in murder of three people

The Independent Policing Oversight Authority (IPOA) has launched a probe into the involvement of police officers in the deaths of three people.

The three are; Aldof Miano Wanjiru (Kawangware), Axley Angusi aka Ali (Kariakor), and Edwin Mburu Wanjohi (Mlango Kubwa), all in Nairobi County.

“In line with provisions of IPOA Act, the Authority has dispatched Rapid Response teams to obtain all information that may be relevant in unveiling the circumstances surrounding the incidents,” read a statement signed by IPOA Chairperson Anne Makori.

“Upon conclusion of the investigations, the Authority will make appropriate recommendations if culpability is established.”
