Baringo: Two decomposing bodies recovered on the Kabarnet-Eldoret highway
Two decomposing bodies were discovered dumped along the Kabarnet-Iten-Eldoret highway on Monday, shocking residents of Kiboino in Kabarnet Ward, Baringo county.
According to Baringo central OCPD Francis Gachoki, the bodies of men between the ages of 35 and 50 had decomposed beyond recognition due to severe injuries.
According to the OCPD, one of the bodies had its head crushed and the other had both eyes cut out, as well as cuts to the hands and legs.
According to police reports, officers were dispatched to the scene after receiving a call from nearby residents.
Gachoki stated that the finger prints will be taken for identification purposes, but that according to their records, no cases of missing persons have been reported in the county. They believe the two were murdered somewhere else and dumped in the area.
He has urged residents to be extra vigilant and to report suspicious people to the police in order to prevent such incidents.
Police have moved the bodies to Baringo county referral hospital mortuary.
