AFC coach Aussems bemoans loss of duo for Mathare trip

Shivachi was red carded yesterday in their 3-1 win over Mathare United for violent behavior while Nabwire is out after accumulating five yellow cards.

AFC Leopards coach Patrick Aussems has bemoaned the loss of Captain Marvin Nabwire and left back Collins Shivachi through suspension ahead of their return leg fixture against Mathare United on Sunday.

Shivachi was red carded yesterday in their 3-1 win over Mathare United for violent behavior while Nabwire is out after accumulating five yellow cards.

“We are in a difficult situation  because these are very good players who we depend on and with us not having enough depth in our squad we will have it had but we will try and us the players who are available to fill the games and we are hoping to get another maximum points,” said Aussems.

With the transfer window on, Aussems is hopeful the club will be able to beef up the squad having lost 17 senior players during the last transfer window.

“We are suffering as a team we don't have enough experience to compete with the best in the league and I am hoping the management is listening to this and they will be active in the transfer window before it closes,” stated the tactician

After 15 games played, Ingwe are currently 14th in the league standings with 17 points while Mathare United are second last with seven points after 15 games.

The match will be played at Kasarani stadium on Sunday from 3pm.
