Popular Kenyan comedian and content creator Crazy Kennar, born Kennedy Odhiambo, has declared himself a man on a mission to fight depression among the youth.

Kennar said this as he launched a mobile application that aims at solving the problem of joblessness among the youth by connecting them to opportunities.

"When God gives you a plate of food, invite others to dine with you. I have been on a mission to stand against depression for 3 years after receiving heart breaking messages from the people I entertain,” he wrote on Instagram.

“What better way than introducing an app called ‘KAZI’ that is able to cut across so many people who have different skills and giving each person an opportunity to earn something by using what is in their hands to make revenue.”

The registration-free application is centered on the youth as Kennar stated that unemployment is what majorly drives young people into depression.

“Our main initiative focuses on the youth because most of them tend to fall into depression as a result of not being able to cater for their needs,” he said.

The self-proclaimed content cartel added that the application works to connect a person who needs a service to a person who offers it.

"There is an app for the worker/ the service provider and another one for the client/ employer," he wrote.

“After days of endless sleepless nights, I met geniuses and made a non-profitable partnership. Putting money in people's pockets through connecting the person who needs a service to the person who offers it.”

The comedian said through the Kazi app, every non-employed or self-employed person could generate income using various skills.

He gave examples of a beautician, plumber, laundry lady, photographer, seller and so many more skills that in return get linked with the client on the platform.

The vine and parody content creator has been at the top of his game, having recently surpassed 100 million views on his YouTube platform, 'Tales Of Crazy Kennar.'
