COTU On Muchai Murder Probe
COTU acting secretary General Benson Okwaro says police should be allowed to probe the case independently without interferance from the political quarters.
In a statement, Okwaro says utterances made by a section of leaders attending the burial of the Kabete MP on Friday are aimed at incriminating COTU Boss Francis Atwoli in the murder of the MP, his driver and two bodyguards.
Labour cabinet secretary Kazungu Kambi has already recorded a statement with police after he linked COTU leaders to the murder of Muchai who was a former leader in COTU.
Meanwhile, three men arrested on Friday for allegedly killing Kabete MP George Muchai will be arraigned in court tomorrow morning.
Police investigating the killings of the MP, his two bodyguards and a driver say they are finalizing the probe and preparing murder files against the suspects.
