CORD Principals To Meet Over Referendum
CORD Principal leaders are today meeting to come up with a list of members who will serve in the committee
Raila Odinga, Kalonzo Musyoka and Moses Wetangula will agree on who should serve in the committee to steer the referendum agenda
The three CORD principals are also expected to lay down the rules of engagement for the committee.
They flew to Mombasa on Monday for Iftar prayers at the invitation of Mombasa Governor Ali Hassan Joho.
The coalition wants the yet to be formed committee to include insecurity, graft and high cost of living as issues to be tackled during the referendum
The coalition led by Raila Odinga had demanded national dialogue with the government over the issue but has now withdrawn their demands
The CORD principals held a national rally at Uhuru Park dubbed Saba Saba and pointed out 13 issues including referendum that need to be tackled
