DP Ruto says Raila wrecked the Big Four Agenda
Deputy President William Ruto has taken aim at ODM leader Raila Odinga, accusing him of being the driving force behind the Jubilee government's stalled Big Four agenda.
On Sunday, Ruto told a crowd in Saba Saba, Maragua town, Muranga county, that Odinga tore up the nation's main direction and introduced the 'reggae plague,' which shifted the Jubilee Government's main focus.
"We had the big 4 agenda....lakini hiyo mpango yetu kidogo ilipata matatizo wakati yule mtu wa kitwendawili aliingilia serikali yetu....aliharibu kila kitu na chama ya Jubilee ikasambaratika," Ruto said.
He did promise, however, that if elected president, he will overhaul the Big 4 agenda, which he claims must be completed under his leadership.
"Ata ingawaje that person has wasted our four years....akituimbisha mambo ya reggae na ukora mimi nataka niwaambie mwaka ujao kwa mapenzi ya mungu ile ahadi tuliwapatia....lazima tuitimize," he added.
He also assured the residents on improving the infrastructure in the region promising to improve road, church, electricity, and education services if he gets the country's top job.
"I want to promise you that we shall continue to work with the people of this county and the people of this constituency so that we achieve all the goals we had set together with the people of this area," Ruto said.
The Deputy President was accompanied by Muranga senator Irungu Kang'ata, Former Majority leader Aden Duale, Kiharu Mp Ndindi Nyoro, Kikuyu Mp Kimani Ichungwa alongside other allies.
