Nairobi City Stars CEO Patrick Korir has said their current run in the FKF Premier League is down to the shift that they have been putting in training.

City Stars are the surprise league leaders after four rounds, with their superb start to the campaign only hampered by their season opening defeat against Sofapaka.

They are also playing some eye-catching football with a combination of possession and devastating counter-attacking.

The good run, Korir believes, is down to the hard work that they are doing and is confident that they can continue to push their limits in the coming assignments.

"The performance is down to hard work that we have been putting in training and it is now yielding fruits.

It is still early in the season and we have to keep working and pushing our limits so that we can continue getting these positive results.

We have a good, competitive squad, they have blended well with the new coach and I am confident that we will keep posting positive results," the CEO told Citizen Digital.

City Stars hired coach Nicholas Muyoti before the start of the season.

Muyoti left Kakamega Homeboyz for Simba wa Nairobi where he replaced Sanjin Alagic and Korir says the players are enjoying working under the former Kenyan International.

"The boys are happy playing under coach Muyoti. They have fully embraced his philosophy and the results are out for all to see.

He is a coach who doesn't condone any complacency and pushes them to give their best both in training and during matches, " he added.

In their next League assignment, City Stars play wounded Posta Rangers who lost their last game to Kakamega Homeboyz.
