Betty Kyallo to develop new beauty product line set for release next year
Multiple award-winning media personality Betty Kyallo is set to create a new product expected to hit shelves early next year.
Kyallo, in the new venture, has partnered with Documentary & Reality TV CEO Eugene Mbugua, who is the brains behind popular reality shows such as ‘Sol Family’ and ‘This Love’.
The two signed the contract on Wednesday at Mr. Mbugua’s offices alongside D&R TV board member Carol Ndung’u and project consultant Suzie Wokabi.
“At D&R TV, we are committed to responding to emerging consumer needs and ensuring that we can sustainably produce and tell bold African stories,” said Mr. Mbugua.
“We’re happy to start a journey with Betty Kyallo to develop a product in line with this. The next few months are exciting for us, and we can’t wait to have this content-driven product out on shelves.”
Kyallo, on her part, stated: “I’m ecstatic to finally be working on a project I’ve always dreamt about since I was a little girl. It’s something that I’ve used in all of my career and I can’t wait to offer something beautiful to the world.”
D&R TV, in a statement to newsrooms, said the new partnership will advance its purpose of “finding financially sustainable models of telling African stories through television production.”
The company said it chose to go the journey with the media personality as she “embodies the spirit of Kenyan women with her beautiful, smart and entrepreneurial mind.”
Betty Kyallo and her sisters some time this year signed on with Mr. Mbugua for a highly anticipated reality show produced by D&R TV and that is expected to hit the screens soon.
