Atwoli Elected To ILO Governing Body

This comes barely two weeks after he was unanimously elected as Vice President of the global International Trade Union Confederation

Atwoli, who is currently attending the 103rd Session of the International Labour Conference Office in Geneva, Switzerland, joins 56 other nominal ILO members elected in their individual capacity from across the world.

The body which is a United Nations agency, meets three times a year to make decisions on ILO Policy, decide ILO’s conference agendas, adopt the draft programme, discuss budgets and to elect ILO director-general.

Atwoli said he was humbled by his election and promised to continue fighting for the repressed fearlessly.
