Arrest rogue politicians – Marwa
Mombasa County Commissioner Nelson Marwa has instructed all Chief Security officers in the County to arrest local politicians pushing for the release of arrested terror suspects.
Speaking at a press conference accompanied by Kenya Primary Heads Association officials ahead of their annual conference which kicks off on Tuesday, Marwa said that it was so disheartening to see a number of elected leaders encouraging criminal activities by helping suspects to get out of police cells.
Marwa added that released suspects later on haunt innocent civilians and become a security threat to the country.
“What kind of leader are you to advocate for release of a suspect who has stolen, maimed or killed someone? You go and bribe their way out of the police cells; you are undermining security in the county and should be arrested to understand how the law works,” said Marwa.
The commissioner also disclosed that two religious leaders are on the police surveillance for alleged incitement and radicalization of youths .
