Angel Di Maria completes move to PSG
Argentina winger Angel Di Maria has joined Paris St Germain from Premier League giants Manchester United, the French club announced on their website on Thursday.
Di Maria, who won the 2014 Champions League title with Real Madrid, joined United last season but failed to make an impact in the Premier League.
He joins the French Ligue 1 side for a reported fee of 63 million euros.
Transferred from Manchester United, the Argentine midfielder signed a four-year contract with Paris Saint-Germain on Wednesday, in the club offices.
Earlier this week, Di Maria went to Doha to undergo his medical examination before flying to Paris, on Wednesday to complete his transfer to the club at the French capital.
Di Maria’s football career
At 27 years of age, the argentine international, from Rosario, began his professional career in the 2005-06 season.
After winning the World u20 competition in 2007 with the Albiceleste, Angel di Maria transferred that same year to Benfica where he quickly earned a place in the starting XI.
In 2008, he won Olympic gold with Argentina in Beijing before moving to Real Madrid in June 2010.
In June 2010, he transferred to Real Madrid, At Real Madrid, Di Maria won the Spanish Championship (2012), two Copa del Rey (2011, 2014), the Spanish Super Cup (2012) and the UEFA Champions League (2014) in which he shone in the final against Atletico de Madrid
He has earned 66 caps for Argentina, scoring 15 goals.
