Wazalendo lose again to finish bottom at ACCC in Ghana
Wazalendo lost 4-2 to Tairat on Saturday as they slumped to their third straight defeat at the Africa Cup of Club Champions Hockey tournament in Accra, Ghana.
The Egyptians raced to a 3-0 in the opening half following goals from Anwer Mohamed Adam, Mohamed Ragah and captain Ramadan Morsy Abbas.
Tarek Mohamed Ibrahim took the game beyond Wazalendo when he struck the fourth and the Kenyans showed some fight through late goals from Akombe Griffin and Kasua Joseph.
Wazalendo entered the match already unable to progress from Pool B into the semi-finals and thus exited the competition without a single point.
Tairat have won all three of their group matches.
Ghana Revenue Authority (GRA) and Zamalek are joint second and will clash later Saturday to determine the second team that will advance to the last four.
Wazalendo are scheduled to return to Nairobi on December 4.
