Wamalwa to lead the line as Stars chase for CECAFA bronze
Harambee Stars head coach Francis Kimanzi has made two changes to the squad that suffered a humiliating 4-1 defeat to Eritrea in the Cecafa Senior Challenge Cup semis clash bringing in Moses Mudavadi and Anthony Wambani for Roy Okal and Kevin Kimani respectively as he named his squad to tackle Tanzania in a third-place playoff match this afternoon.
The Dutch trained Kimanzi has in the meantime kept faith in Western Stima custodian Samuel Odhiambo to man the goalposts while red-hot Ulinzi Stars striker Oscar Wamalwa who has so far scored three goals in the tourney will lead the line, assisted by roving Hassan Abdallah of Bandari.
In midfield, Gor Mahia’s Kenneth Muguna will be relied upon together with Lawrence Juma to quell the Kilimanjaro Stars.
The match kicks off at 1pm at the Lugogo KCCA Grounds in Kampala, with Kenya seeking bronze.
