Upper Hill to clash with Dagoretti in Prescott Cup final

Rugby enthusiast will be heading to St Mary’s School, Nairobi for the Prescott Cup tournament final on Saturday 6^th July starting at 1 pm.

Prescott Cup is a rugby tournament that brings together elite Schools within or near the Nairobi region.

Sunshine Secondary will be entertaining Laiser Hill Academy in the Damu Pevu category as of 1 pm. Sunshine won 5-0 against Langáta in the semis while Laiser Hill won a convincing 77-0 over Aquinas High to make it to the final.

Damu Changa category will bring forth a mouth-watering clash between Mang’u High II and Upper Hill II. Mang’u whipped Alliance 28-14 in the semi-final played at Lenana School. The Denis Munene coached charge boast of young upcoming stars who are majorly students in form one and two.

To usher in the cup final, Lenana School “Changez” will contest for the third position against Alliance High School in the playoffs scheduled at 3 pm.

The event will be climaxed by a tussle between Dagoretti High School and Upper Hill School. Dagoretti got an easy route to the final after Alliance high failed to show up in their semi-final appointment.

Upper Hill, on the other hand, beat Lenana School 58-3 in a match they dominated throughout. Lenana had taken up the semi-final spot after Rift Valley Academy pulled out of the tournament.

In the western region, Minnows Koyonzo will be ready to disappoint champions Kakamega High School in tomorrow’s region Prescott final. The two drew 3-3 in their third-round match played on 1^st June.  Bungoma High will play Friends School, Kamusinga in the plate final while Maseno School, under coach Paul Nyamita, will tackle Vihiga High in the playoff.
