Eleven-time Kenya Premier League champions Tusker FC on Tuesday unveiled their new signings ahead of the 2018 football season at the club’s headquarter in Ruaraka.

Having released 14 players  towards the end of  last season,  the 2016 champions  brought in Apollo Otieno (Chemelil Sugar), Timothy Otieno (Gor Mahia), Peter Nzuki (Nakumatt), Edwin Lavatsa (Bandari), BonventureKhasabuli (Muhoroni Youth), Mathew TayoOdongo (Kariobangi Sharks), Lawrence Kasadha (KCCA), Robert Achema (Western Stima), Amos Asembeka (Sony Sugar) and Erick Ambunya (KakamegaHomeboyz)- all of whom were  paraded on Tuesday ahead of the rigorous campaign.

Having surrendered the title last season to Gor Mahia, the brewers started the rebuilding process by appointing former Sofapaka coach Sam Timbe to take over from compatriot George Nsimbe who left the side at the end of the season. He will be assisted by Francis Baraza who served in a similar capacity last term.

With the new season set to kick off on February 3, the team has already begun the pre-season friendlies, losing 1-0  to Uganda Premier League champions Kampala City Council Authority.

Nsimbe will be hoping to settle fast ahead of the forthcoming Kenyan Premier League season if they are to avoid a poor start, as was the case in  2017.
