Transfers: Bayern rule out a move for Arsenals Sanchez

Bayern Munich president Uli Hoeness has seemingly ruled out the possibility of the German club signing Alexis Sanchez from Arsenal.

Speaking to Kicker, Hoeness outlined how Bayern’s transfer strategy is to build a side for the future by signing promising young players rather than ’29 or 30-year-olds’.

Sanchez has one year remaining on his contract but has doubts over his future after the Gunners failed to qualify for the Champions League.

Arsenal

Arsenal have had a bid in excess of £30m turned down for Monaco’s France winger Thomas Lemar, 21, and are now considering whether to formalise their interest in Leicester City’s Algerian forward Riyad Mahrez.

The gunners are interested in Nice midfielder Jean Michael Seri after Roma were put off by the £35m release clause for the Ivory Coast international.

The London based club has been told they must pay £57m to land striker Alexandre Lacazette, from Lyon.

Manchester United

Chelsea could hijack Zenit St. Petersburg’s £26m offer for Kostas Manolas, 26, as the Roma defender stalls on a move to Russia.

The champions will consider a loan move away from Stamford Bridge for outcast striker Diego Costa.
