Sofapaka raid Vihiga United for Imbusia

Football Kenya Federation League side Sofapaka have completed the signing of Alex Imbusia from Vihiga United.

Imbusia joins the Batoto Ba Mungu after spending about two years at Vihiga United.

Sofapaka president Elly Kalekwa is pleased with the signing saying Imbusia is a ‘complete player’ who can play in various positions.

“He is a good player, we have been monitoring him, he is young and has a promising future. He is also a complete player who can play midfield and striking,” Kalekwa said.

Imbusia has inked a two-year deal with the Nairobi based club marking the end of Sofapaka’s transfer business.

He is a player who can play on flanks, attacking midfield and striking.

On his  part, the 23-year-old said he is delighted with the new challenge.

“It feels good to join Sofapaka, this is a huge step for me in my career. To sign for the club means I have got a lot of potential to keep improving and growing. I am so delighted and I look forward to a good stay at the club.”

Born and raised in Jeblebuk village, Gisambai location, Hamisi sub county, Vihiga county, Imbusia has been improving day by day playing for local clubs including home club Malaika FC as a young boy and his efforts have led him to one of the big clubs in the country

He played more than 45 games for Vihiga United, scoring more than 21 goals.

Imbusia attended Jeblebuk Primary School before joining Kegoye Secondary School where he was instrumental in the school team.

Besides his speed and ferocious shots, he’s also physically strong.
