Rupiah brace sinks KCB as Posta dispatch Vihiga

Red-hot striker Elvis Rupiah bagged a brace to extend his season tally to seven as AFC Leopards mauled KCB FC 2-1 at Kasarani Stadium.

The win lifted Ingwe to fourth on the log on 12 points dislodging Bandari who were 3-2 winners over Kakamega Homeboyz on Saturday to fifth place.

Elsewhere at the Mumias Sports Complex, visiting Posta Rangers beat Vihiga United 1-0, Sammy Odero scoring the all-important goal.

At Kasarani the Bankers came to the match knowing a win would stretch their unbeaten record but Leopards were determined to get maximum points.

Head coach Kimani partnered Burundian striker Bienvenue Shaka with livewire Rupiah upfront and their partnership paid off with the two causing KCB keeper Joseph Ochuka endless trouble.

KCB were however the first to score in the 17th minute Mwangi Samuel pouncing on a loose ball parried by Leopards goal keeper Benjamin Ochan to unleash a thunderbolt into the net.

It called for Leopards to regroup with Rupia levelising four minutes later also drilling in thanks to goalkeeping error with the first stanza ending one all.

The win will definitely boost the confidence of Leopards after two back to back losses.
