Ogari rallies Bandari to keep FKF-PL mojo against Posta
Bandari FC will be seeking to extend their fine form when
they host Posta Rangers in a mid-week FKF Premier League fixture at Mbaraki Grounds in
Mombasa on Wednesday.
Speaking ahead of the duel, Bandari Team Manager
Albert Ogari says they have been working on concentration lapses which cost
them two goals in their last match against Bidco, which they however won 2-3.
While his attack has exhibited hunger for goals, Ogari feels
a lot is to be done to stabilise their defense.
"We have conducted our last training session
today (Tuesday) as we rectify our mistakes to avoid conceding easy goals, ready
to collect maximum points tomorrow. Lack
of concentration gave our opponents (Bidco United) the energy to come back in
the game which we have also addressed," said the TM.
The Mombasa based side has all players ready for
the match, save for long-term absentee Shaban Kenga who is out injured.
He has however started light training under the team doctor's
watch.
The Dockers have won their two opening matches and
they are scheduled to play three consecutive home matches in the month of
October.
After Posta, they will host AFC Leopards on Sunday
before wrapping up the month against Wazito FC on October 31.
The Mashemeji derby between AFC Leopards against
Gor Mahia will highlight the Mashujaa day fixtures as the Kakamega Homeboyz
versus Tusker match has been postponed to allow the league champions to
complete their continental assignment in Egypt.
Bandari are on six points, level with Kakamega
Homeboyz and Ulinzi Stars but with a superior goal difference after two round
of matches.
